Burglars decamp with booty of Rs 1.28 lakh

Nagpur: In yet another house-breaking theft, unidentified thieves decamped with booty worth Rs 1.28 lakh. The theft took place under the jurisdiction of Ajni police station on Sunday.

According to information, the house in Shri Sant Saikrupa Housing Society, Narendra Nagar, belonged to one Sudhir Prahlad Singh (32). On Sunday, he locked the house and left for Manish Nagar for shopping with his wife. Meanwhile, some unidentified thieves barged into the house by breaking open the lock. The thieves took away gold ornaments, watch, and Rs 5,000 cash collectively worth Rs 1.28 lakh. Sudhir discovered the theft after h returned to the house.

Sudhir immediately informed Ajni police about the theft. Cops have registered an offence under Section 457 and 380 of the IPC.
