Dr. Mohan Gaikwad (Patil), contender for the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat from the Bahujan Samaj Party today led an unprecedented scooter rally as part of his election campaign. The rally began by offering floral garland to the statue of Hon’ble Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Trisharan Square and covered all of Southwest Nagpur. The rally was flagged off with the trademark blue flags by BSP District In-Charge Mr. Milind Bansod and Regional Vice-President Mr. Krishnaji Bele. Dr. Gaikwad greeted his supporters who had thronged in thousands from an open jeep.
The rally coordinated by Southwest Nagpur Coordinator and District Incharge Mr. Milind Bansod, covered major areas like Jaibhim Nagar, Parvati Nagar, Rameshwari, Banerji Layout, Hawara Peth, Bhim Nagar, Jogi Nagar, Shatabdi Chowk, Ramteke Nagar, Narendra Nagar, Manish Nagar, Chuna Bhatti, Ajni, Congress Nagar, Rahate Colony, Dhantoli, Ghat Road, Jatarodi No. 3, No.2 and No. 1, Rambagh etc. At various places the followers of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and other local people felicitated Dr. Gaikwad with floral bouquets and garlands.

Among hundreds of scooterists, prominently present in the rally were, Teli Bhaichara Committee Organizer Mr. Rajendra Padole, Corporator Mr. Kishor Gajbhiye, Mr. Navneet Ghadale, Mr. Sagar Warhade, Mr. Aman Patil, Mr. Pankaj Taksande, Mr. Ashok Dongre, Mr. Sandeep Gaikwad, Mr. Vinod Gaikwad, Mr. Shyam Anwane, Mr. Kiran Khode, Mr. Ajay Sawarkar, Mr. Prashant Choudhary, Mr. Sachin Fukat, Mr. Pradeep Narayan, Mr. Amol Kolhe, Mr. Prafful Deo, and Mr. Prashant Kshirsagar. Renowned academician Dr. Gaikwad is now gaining popularity as an emerging politician with a clean image.
