Nagpur News : Brijesh Dixit, Divisional Railway Manager received 2nd Prize for National Energy Conservation Award- 2013 in Railway Stations Sector at the hands of Hon’ble President of India Pranab Mukherjee on 16th December 2013 in the presence of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge). The function organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
This is the first time that Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Central Railway is awarded by the Energy Ministry, Govt. of India. The award is very prestigious for Nagpur Division and Central Railway.
In the able guidance of Brijesh Dixit, Nagpur Division innovated in Energy Conservation field. In the year 2011-12 at Nagpur Railway Station there is 1061 KW Load connection and Electrical Energy consumption was 14.68 Lakh Units. In the year 2012-13 the Load connection was increased to 1175 KW but consumption of Electrical Energy was only 11.63 Lakh Units. Thus Nagpur Railway Station conserved 3.05 Lakh units which is 20.77% less than last year and Rs. 33.28 lakh was saved.
