Nagpur: A 17-year old boy lost his life and two others suffered critical injuries when the motorcycle they were riding triple seat slipped off the road on Thursday night.
The three friends Ritesh Narendr Sakhre (18), Mayur Kadve (17) of Samata Nagar, Rakesh Sukhram Rahangdale (19) were proceeding towards Mayo Hospital on their Discoverer motorcycle (MH-49/N 9045) triple seat around 11.30 pm on Thursday. Rakesh was riding the motorcycle and Ritesh and Mayur were pillion. The trio was riding in speed and reckless manner. When the three friends reached in front of Rural Police Headquarter gate in Jaripatka, Rakesh lost control over the speeding motorcycle and as a result it slipped off the road. The trio got crashed on the road with forceful impact and received serious injuries. They were immediately taken to Mayo Hospital. However, doctors there pronounced Mayur Kadve ‘brought dead’ while Ritesh and Rakesh were being treated.
Jaripatka API Atram registered an offence against the accused Rakesh Rahangdale under Sections 279, 337, 304(A), 427 of IPC read with Sections 184, 185 of Motor Vehicles Act and investigating the matter further.
A)(3), 506 of IPC read with Sections 4, 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and arrested him. Further investigation is underway.
