Booty worth Rs 2.84 lakh burgled from two flats in same building in Hudkeshwar

Nagpur: Unidentified burglars targeted two flats in the same building and decamped with cash and ornaments worth Rs 2.84 lakh. Baffling angle of the burglaries is that it took place in the morning hours at 9.

The first victim, Sandeep Gopichand Dolas (33), resident of Flat No. 102, ‘Atharva Classic,’ Chamat Chakki Chowk, Sarvashri Nagar, Hudkeshwar, in his complaint told police that he left home around 9 am on Monday for some domestic work. At the same time, the unidentified miscreants smashed the latch of the front door and gained entry into his flat. The thieves straightaway focused their eyes on a steel almirah and cleaned it by removing gold ornaments valued at Rs 2.78 lakh. The burglars, while fleeing, targeted another flat of Atul Laxmanrao Deshmukh (44) in the same building and relieved him of cash Rs 4000 and a mobile phone. Collectively, the miscreants stole booty worth Rs 2.84 lakh from both the flats in the morning hours.

Hudkeshwar API Patil, based on the complaints of Sandeep and Atul, has registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 of IPC against the unidentified burglars and mounted a search to nab them.
