Nagpur: BookASmile (BAS), the charity initiative of India’s largest online entertainment ticketing platform BookMyShow, in collaboration with Round Table India (RTI) organized pan-India screenings of the movie Toilet-Ek Prem Katha on 12th August for 13,626 kids from lesser fortunate background.

Building toilets is one of the focal points of improving our country’s sanitation standards. The motive to showcase this movie was to inculcate right hygiene habits in kids. “We are delighted to work with BookASmile for this initiative. The screenings were immensely successful and have helped create more awareness regarding the sanitation issues in our country.” says Christopher Aravinth, President, Round Table India. Farzana Cama Balpande, Head-BookASmile said, “Movies can be a huge source of inspiration and play a huge role in creating awareness regarding critical issues. With the same intention, Round Table India (RTI) helped us mobilise 13,626 less fortunate children. While the screenings acted as a perfect day-outing and mode of enjoyment, we more importantly hope that through our joint efforts, we were able to create a positive long lasting impression on children.”

Nagpur Tigers Round Table 299 actively participated in this initiative and will be assbrought in 100 kids from Shri Shradhanand Anathalaya to watch this film. The kids were safely transported to and from the hall and were also treated with snacks at the venue.

A similar project was autonomously undertaken by NTRT 299 for the screening of “Sachin: A Billion Dreams” to widespread recognition and appreciation. NTRT 299 is confident that this project proved to be just as beneficial for the kids.
