Bogus vehicle deal: Youth duped of Rs 7 lakh in Hudkeshwar

Nagpur: A 24-year-old criminal reportedly duped a Hudkeshwar based of youth collectively of Rs 7 lakh on the pretext of selling him a Swift Dzire and Toyota Innova cars between January 2019 and February 2020. Based on the complainant of Aditya Ashokrao Balpande (24), a resident of Flat No. 41, D, Dubey Nagar, Hudkeshwar, cops have booked the accused identified as Sanket Devanand Ganvir (24), a resident of Noori Colony, Nara.

In his complaint, Balpande told Hudkeshwar police that Ganvir had promised him a year old Swift Dzire at an affordable amount of Rs 3 lakh. As the vehicle was seized by the finance company, it was the reason for low price, Ganvir had told Balpande.

The accused forged RC Book, NOC from Bank of India, signature of Bank Manager and documents of Recovery Department and took additional Rs 1.70 lakh from Balpande. The accused also took Rs 2,30,000 in exchange of a Toyota Innova car and duped the complainant to the tune of Rs 7,00,000 collectively and never delivered a single vehicle.

Based on the complaint filed by Balpande, Hudkeshwar police have booked the accused Ganvir under Sections 420, 468, 471 of the IPC and started the investigation.
