Nagpur: Two groups clashed together over some dispute which occurred in Lamba Celebration Hall on Kamptee Road. 8-10 persons were injured in this clash. Lakhadganj Police has registered a case against both the groups. The accused include former President of City Congress Committee Sheikh Hussein. Sources claim that one woman was also injured in this clash. Sources also claimed that this bloody-clash was a result of an effort to establish political supremacy. On receipt of information senior officials also reached the spot.
According to police sources, Mohammed Hanif Abdul Rashid aged 48 years and a resident of Mahesh Colony registered a case in the Lakhadganj Police Station stating that Former President of District Congress Committee Sheikh Hussein and his family joined together and fatally attacked him and his family late in the night at around 1 am of May 31, 2015.
Mohammed Hanif told police that he and his family members had gone to attend to a marriage function at Lamba Celebration Hall on Kamptee Road. At the parking lot of Celebration Hall, brother-in-law of Mohammed Hanif, Mohammed Asif clashed with a person identified as Mohammed Arif. On learning about the dispute former President of City Congress Committee Sheikh Hussein reached the spot and abused the complainant Mohammed Hanif using vulgar words. However, everybody dispersed to their own house.
According to police, the accused Sheikh Hussein, his brother Sattar Ahmed, Wahid Ahmed, Mohammed Jumer, Mohammed Sabbir, Mohammed Rehan, Mohammed Tousib, Zuber Ahmed, Shoeb Ahmed, Sunny and 30 to 40 other accused armed with lethal weapons attacked Mohammed Hanif and his family members.
Mohammed Hanif’s brother-in-law Asif Patel Barkati, Ayesha Nasreen and Salman Khan were grievously injured in the attack. The accused had attacked Asif with sharp edged weapons on his head and body causing many grave injuries. He has sustained many injuries which required more that 36 sutures. All the three injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Mohammed Hanif, Lakhadganj Police registered a case against all the accused including Sheikh Hussein under sections 307, 143, 147, 148, 149, 452 of Indian Penal Code.
On the other hand, Tousif Ahmed Abdul Wahid aged 26 years and a resident of Jagannath Budhwari has registered a case against Mohammed Hanif that he had gone to attend to a marriage function at Lamba Celebration Hall on Kamptee Road. He returned home with his cousin brother Zuber. He was parking his vehicle in front of his house. At that moment Abdul Saddam, Asif Patel abused him using vulgar words and left from that place. Later they went to the house of Mohammed Tausib and his cousin brother Abdul Hanif in Mahesh Nagar to explain to him what happened and to cordially sort out the matter. Meanwhile cases were also registered against Abdul Hanif, Asif Patel, Abdul Haque, Abdul Saidi, Abdul Saddam, Abdul Rabb, Abdul Sadab, Abdul Hamid, Haji Abdul Kadir, Salman, Ayesha Nasreen under sections 307, 143, 147, 148, 149 of Indian Penal Code and uner sub-section 4/25. Lakhadganj Police is investigating further.
