Nagpur:
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has again nominated party Corporator from Prabhag 11 Bhushan Shingne as Trustee of Nagpur Improvement Trust. A formal announcement to this effect was made in the General Body Meeting, the first of new NMC regime, held at Mahal-based Town Hall on Monday. Shingne is sitting NIT Trustee nominated by the party during its earlier regime.

Shingne was elected from Prabhag 11 for consecutive second time in the just concluded NMC poll. In fact, all the four candidates of BJP got elected from this Prabhag. Sandeep Jadhav from this Prabhag was made Chairman of Standing Committee. Jadhav will also be NIT Trustee for a period of one year.

Moreover, another senior Corporator from this Prabhag Sangita Girhe has been made member of the all-powerful Standing Committee.

Now, it has to be seen whether maximum area of this Prabhag comes into NIT jurisdiction or not. Even otherwise the “age” of NIT has got reduced as it has been dissolved. It means, the projects, lands, properties coming under NIT would be transferred to NMC.
