Nagpur: Chintaman Ivnate, BJP leader and husband of former Mayor Maya Ivnate, passed away due to cardiac arrest on Tuesday. Chintaman, popularly called Pahalwan, was in New Delhi and was admitted in AIIMS following breathing trouble. He breathed his last on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
Workers of BJP informed that Chintaman had undergone an eye surgery two days ago and was resting in a government quarter of his wife Maya Ivnate who is member of National Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Commission. Due to poor health, Chintaman was not active in politics since past many days.
According to information, the mortal remains of Chintaman will be brought to his home town Nagpur by a flight on Tuesday evening.
