BJP chief Amit Shah suffering from swine flu, admitted to AIIMS

BJP chief Amit Shah has been admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi on Wednesday after being diagnosed with swine flu.

The BJP leader confirmed the news himself in a tweet. Shah wrote, “”I have been diagnosed with swine flu for which the treatment is underway. With God’s grace and good wishes from all of you, I will recover soon.”

This comes even the political circle in Delhi remained tense on Wednesday over the health of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who rushed to the US for treatment.

According to sources at AIIMS, Shah was admitted following complaints of chest congestion and breathing issues.

Railways Minister Piyush Goyal visited Shah at AIIMS while Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted to pray for his early recovery.

Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, too, is undergoing treatment at AIIMS over the past couple of days. He has been shifted to ICU and his condition is stable now, reported PTI.

Prasad was admitted to the hospital on Monday with complaints of chest congestion.
