Bikes collide head on : Rash driving claims 2 lives in Jaripatka

Negligent driving of a youth cost him his and a middle-aged man’s life while another motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a ghastly mishap occurred between10  No. bridge and Kadbi Chowk lateWednesday night. Jaripatka police registered the case and started their investigation.

The deceased have been identified as Abhinav Ashok Kumar Singh (21), a resident of Geeta Nagar, Zingabai Takli; Parag Dhapte (40), a resident of Bezonbagh, Bindra Mansion, Flat No. 21, Kadbi Chowk while the injured is identified as Vishal Omprakash Bhaisane (38), a resident of Plot No. 92, Bezonbagh.

Police sources said Vishal and Parag, who were riding on their bike (MH 31 E 9683), were coming from 10 No. pul to Kadbi Chowk at around 11.45 pm on Wednesday. Vishal, who was riding the bike, was taking a right turn from Bezonbagh Bus Stop, Kamptee Road when a speeding Pulsar bike (MH 31 DM 0781), in a head on collision, dashed into Vishal’s bike. All the three fell unconscious on the ground with the impact of the accident. Some passersby informed the police who rushed to the spot and took the three to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared Abhinav and Parag dead after preliminary treatment. Vishal, on the other hand, has sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.

Jaripatka police have registered an offence under Sections 279 and 304 (a) of the IPC against Abhinav.
