Bharti Meshram and workers pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary

IMG-20141002-WA0044Nagpur: The Independent candidate from South West Nagpur, Bharti Arvind Meshram paid her tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary on October 2.

Bharti Meshram, her husband Balasaheb Meshram and many activists and social workers of the area observed Gandhi Jayanti with zeal and enthusiasm. While addressing the masses, Bharti said that if only every Indian followed the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, the nation would witness different scenario with overall development and harmony as well. We as a nation will progress and develop in leaps and bounds. She also remembered former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary and said that his slogan of “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” had really brought about some real good changes in the status of farmers and soldiers.

Bharti and other like-minded activists who work for the rights of slum dwellers in South West Nagpur garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.
