Bawankule reviews development projects in North Nagpur

Nagpur: Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Monday reviewed development projects pertaining to North Nagpur. He directed the NIT authorities to ensure functioning of ‘Musical Fountain’ at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Garden before Dussehra festival. The minister also asked the concerned authorities to complete work of Bajirao Sakhre Library before November 14.

The review meeting was held at Ravibhavan and was also attended by former minister Dr Nitin Raut, MLAs Dr Milind Mane, Krushna Khopde, and Sudhakar Kohale. “The works at the garden have been stalled despite funds being available. Various works were to be carried out in the Rs 98 crore proposal but many works are half complete. The “Musical Fountain” should be operational by Dussehra festival,” Bawankule directed the Nagpur Improvement Trust.

The Minister also asked the concerned officials to complete the works of Bajirao Sakhre Library. Dayanand Park,Guru Govind Singh Stadium and other development projects before the stipulated period. “Despite funds being made available, many works are half complete. The officials should start the completion works on war-footing and complete them before the stipulated time,” Bawankule said.
