Bawankule performs Bhumipujan of shopping complex at Koradi Mandir premises

Nagpur: The Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday performed bhumipujan for a shopping complex to be constructed in the premises of Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Mandir at Koradi.

“While carrying out development of the pilgrimage centre five more community beneficial projects would be undertaken that include construction of Vruddhashram (Home for Aged), Apang Punarvasan Kendra (Handicapped Rehabilitation Centre), Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged, Anathashram (Orphanage) and Meditation Centre,” Bawankule said on the occasion.

Other prominent personalities present on the occasion include NIT Chairman Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, Kamptee Panchayat Samiti member Keshartai Belekar, Mahadula Council President Seema Jaiswal, Vice Chairman Rajesh Rangari, Koradi Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Archana Maind, and others.

“Hundreds of youth would be getting jobs while developing Koradi pilgrimage centre. Providing roads, water, electricity and other basic facilities is the responsibility of State Government. The local youths will have to grab jobs on the strength of their skills. At the same time, the deprived sections of the society would not be neglected. With this goal in mind, Vruddhashram will be constructed in the mandir premises. Similarly, construction of Handicapped Rehabilitation Centre, Rehabilitation Centre for Mentally Challenged, Orphanage) and Meditation Centre are also on the anvil. Moreover, there is plan to start a high-quality ‘Prasadalaya’ where the pilgrims would get food at a very affordable rate. All the development, beautification and other works could be completed before 2019,” Bawankule stressed.

The proposed shopping complex is being built at the cost of Rs 22.44 crore. The built up area would be 5670.39 sq ft. The project is to be completed in 24 months.

Jyeshta Pashuvaidya Pratishtan function:

The annual prize distribution and felicitation programme organised by Jyeshta Pashuvaidya Pratishtan will be held at Rajwada Palace near Gandhisagar Lake at 10 am on Wednesday. The chief guest of the function will be RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, NIT Chairman Dr Deepak Mhaisekar, and Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham.

The function will see felicitation of various personalities such as Jeevan Gaur Satkar, Sahasrachandra Darshan Satkar (completion of 80 years of age), Amrut Mahotsavi Satkar (completion of 75 years of age), Safal Vaivahik Jeevan Satkar (completion of 50 years of marriage) and donors.

Similarly, various awards such as Dr P N Sagdeo Memorial Award, Late Dr Vasant Sapre Memorial Award, Late Dr R N Deo Memorial Award, Late Dr D N Dharmadhikari Memorial Award, Dr Vasant Sardeshpande Award, Dr R J Kukde (ex-Dean) Award, and other prestigious awards would be bestowed on prominent personalities on the occasion.
