Bawankule inaugurates Kalidas Samaroh

Kalidas Samaroha was inaugurated at the hands of Guardian Minister Chandrashekar Bawankule in Suresh Bhatt Hall on Friday evening. Madan Yerawar Minister of State for Tourism and Managing Director of MTDC Vijay Waghmare were present for the programme.

At the outset of the programme rich tributes were paid to Late Girajadevi and Late Kishor Yamunkar.

The programme began with Renuka Deshkar’s classical music which mesmerized audience. Soon after this the students of Late Girjadevi presented classical music which kept the audience spell bound.

The main objective of holding this programme is to keep Kalidas Samaroh as a national festival and to maintain its pride on national cutural map, promote Nagpur Division as prime tourist destination at state and national level, draw attention of people to Nagpur region’s rich cultural, architectural and literary heritage region.
