Bag containing Rs 3.5 lakh lifted from auto-rickshaw; Woman doubts accompanying lady

An elderly woman was relieved of her bag containing cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.50 lakh when she was travelling in a auto-rickshaw. The theft occurred on Wednesday under the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli police station.

According to reports, Indubai Hemchand Walde (58), is a resident of Pachsheel Nagar, Plot No. 126, behind Pushpanjali Hall, Pachpaoli. She left the house to attend a function in Gondia. She boarded an autorickshaw from Rani Durgawati Square for Ganeshpeth Bus Stop. An unidentified woman who accompanied Indubai in the autorickshaw, diverted Indubai’s attention and stole her bag containing cash 84,000 and gold jewellery collectively worth Rs 3.50 lakh.

Indubai discovered that her bag was missing after she reached the bus stop. She immediately rushed to Pachpaoli police station and lodged a complaint against the unidentified woman. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 379 of the IPC and started their investigations.
