Nagpur News.

A 21-year-old B.Sc student of Prerna College wrote in his suicide note that his poor grasping power has led him under depression and forcing him to end his life.

Shiva Shetty, a second year student, hanged himself at his Bhuteshwar Nagar residence in Kotwali area on Monday morning. He wrote that he is not able to remember the lessons which he would learn and thus choose to end life.

Shetty’s brother told police that he was unable to clear his subjects due to his less grasping power. “My weakness in studies has taken me under depression and thus I am committing suicide,” wrote Shetty, youngest of two elder brothers.

Shetty claimed that there is no other reason behind his suicide. His father Gubendra, a private firm employee, told police that he might have taken the extreme step on Sunday night while the family was asleep. Shetty’s elder brother works with NMC.

Kotwali police has seized his suicide note and registered a case of an accidental death.
