Nagpur: Day long Workshop on “Compliance of environment status at WCL” held in Nagpur based Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise, Western Coalfields Limited under the aegis of Human Resource Development Department, today. A team consisting of Commissioner Dr. N. P. Shukla and Regional officers P. R. Deo and P. S. Bundela from Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board enlightened WCL officials on environment protection. While addressing WCL officials Dr. Shukla said that awareness activities can help us protecting our environment as most of the environmental violations happens due to non awareness of rules.
Purpose of these kind of workshops is to interact and to establish proper communication (Samwad) in a transparent manner to clear doubts to achieve better results, he added. He shared his life experiences with WCL officials and said small initiatives at our own end may bring big changes. Dr. Shukla appreciated efforts of Team WCL on environment front and advised further more effective ways.
During the inaugural session S. S. Malhi, Director (Technical), B. K. Mishra, Director (Technical P&P), WCL Shri. P. R. Deo, Regional officer, MPPCB, P.S. Bundela, Regional officer, MPPCB also presented their thoughts. Large number of officer from Environment department from all areas of WCL and HODs were prominently present during the workshop.
