hos-aNagpur: The Arch Angel Healthcare Solutions Private Limited, a 95-bedded huge hospital project with all modern facilities, such as, CT Scan, blood bank storage, pathology, hi-tech OT and 24-hour trauma centre, which is set up at Umred with a mission to serve the rural masses (about 3,00,000 people), is now gathering dust for want of assured financial assistance from Bank of India, which now amounts to breach of trust on the part of Bank of India, alleged Dr Jagdish V Talmale, director, Arch Angel Healthcare Solutions Pvt Ltd, in a press release issued by him on June 24.

Blaming the Itwari Branch Manager of the Bank of India, P K Gupta and Zonal Manager C G Popere for their corrupt attitude and negatively emotive tendency, he further said, “The hospital was to be dedicated to public on September 2014, but to due Bank of India’s apathy and purposeful delay, the hospital has not yet started functioning. In fact, the Bank of India officials have duped the Arch Angel Hospital by not providing committed financial assistance, despite completion of all required formalities and guarantee.” It has caused a severe mental stress to the management of the hospital and its future is in jeopardy, he added.

According to Dr Talmale, he himself and other directors on the management board of hospital sacrificed their every penny on the project with a view to raise it to their expectations, and the company thus got approved borrowing of Rs 2 crores from Bank of India, Itwari Branch for the project. But, due to diplomacy of Itwari branch manager P K Gupta and other BoI officials the bank delayed the release of needed fund.

The delay then compelled the company to go for an increased borrowing of Rs 1 crore, in all Rs 3 crore, a proposal to which was tabled on 8.8.2014, he said, adding that the Bank of India further caused delay making excuses on technical grounds, and sanctioned the increased loan on 18.12.2014, for which the borrowers had mortgaged all their movable and immovable properties valuing more than the borrowing. Ultimately, the borrowing could not bear the desired fruit and BoI rejected the proposal of borrowing.

On March 19, 2015, the BoI making pretext of Reserve Bank of India’s audit has not sanctioned the borrowing till date, said Dr Talmale, informing further that he approached the CSD of Bank of India, Mumbai on 16.5.2015 to table his grievances before him, but in vain. The Bank of India officials have made a mockery of the good intention of Arch Angel Hospital, he painfully alleged.
