Apurva Science rally concludes with sky watching

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Association for Research and Training in Basic Science Education had jointly organised 20th Apurva Science rally on full moon day. Sky Watching was organised on Dec 3. Chhattisgarh Planning Commission’s Chairman Chandrashekhar Rahu lauded the students of Municipal schools.

This rally was organised to develop a scientific outlook among students to impart basic knowledge through simple science experiments. The rally is being held from last 19 years. This time 200 students from 30 Municipal Middle Schools presented 120 experiments. Those present were given live demonstration of Hydroponics plants, Kidney, Brain.


Scientific tours were organised for the students from Amravati, Gondia Bhandara Sausar areas by their schools. During the rally, programmes like street play, science awareness, and quiz were organised. Students and parents very enthusiastically participated and answered the question on science. In this rally various body parts, volcano etc were presented through crafts.

The Coordinator of the rally was Rajendra Pusekar. Science teachers Jyoti Medpalliwar, Pushpalata Gawande, Dipti Bisat, Neelima Adhau, Neeta Gadekar, Sangeeta Kulkarni, Manisha Mogalewar, Sunita Zarbade worked for the success of the rally.
