Anurag Bharadwaj of Shivaji Science College has emerged topper in Nagpur and, most probably in Vidarbha, by bagging 98 percent marks in Class 12 examination. The Science Stream student scored 637 marks out of 650 in HSC Board examination held in February 2014.
Avantika Saoji and Runjan Bhelekar of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College are the joint second toppers with 96.77 percent marks in Science Stream while Aditya Shrikhande of Shivaji Science College is third topper with 96.62 percent marks.
Sharanya Shivaraman, a student of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College, clinched the top slot in Commerce Stream by bagging 95.53 percent marks. Nupur Deshkar of LAD College bagged the second top slot with 95.23 percent marks while Sneha Nawandar, a student of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College stood third topper by scoring 94.46 percent marks, all in Commerce Stream.
Shreenidhi Deshmukh of LAD College clinched the top rank in Arts Stream by scoring 91.62 percent marks.
However, Bhakti Ghatole, a visually impaired girl, studying in LAD College proudly emerged second topper with 87 percent marks. Similarly, Gyaniram Gokhale, visually impaired student of Dr Ambedkar College, stood tall and bagged the third top rank in Arts Stream.
The results of Class 12 Examinations 2014 conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education have been declared on Monday (June 2). The Class 12 written exams had commenced on February 20 across Maharashtra and lasted till March 29.
