Nagpur:Saraswati Kanya Sangh(SKS) recently felicitated its winning under-16 basketball team and declared Antara Mehta as best pleyer of the year during the annual felicitation function held recently at the premises of LAD College.
Nalini Wadjikar presided over the function and Varsha Manohar was the chief guest on the occasion. The team members were given trak suits. Nagpur District Basketball Association secretry Shatrughna Gokhhale and Dr Dhananjay Welukar were honoured on the occasion for their selection as vice president of Maharashtra State Basketball Associaiton and technical committee chairman respectively.
Prof. Arvind Garud conducted the proceedings and also proposed a vote of thanks. Number of players as well as parents attended the function in large number. Copies of ‘Importance of Recration and Sports in Life’ an article wtiteen by Prof. Garud distributed on the occasion.
