Amravati: A joyous journey to attend a wedding turned into an unimaginable tragedy when a devastating road accident on the Amravati–Warud road wiped out four members of a single family from Kamptee in Nagpur district, leaving one critically injured.
The victims, residents of Khairi village in Kamptee taluka, were travelling together in a four-wheeler to attend a family function in Amravati. Around 10:30 am near Warud, their vehicle met with a catastrophic accident, the impact so severe that lives were lost on the spot.
Those who perished include Samadhan Nane (60), his son Gopal Nane (34), daughter-in-law Kiran Nane, and three-year-old granddaughter Diya Nane, a loss that has deepened the grief of the mishap.
The only survivor, Deepak Nane, sustained critical injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
What was meant to be a day of celebration has instead left a family shattered beyond repair. The sudden loss of multiple generations in a single accident has sent shockwaves through Khairi village, where grief and disbelief have engulfed the community.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, while the tragic incident has once again raised concerns over road safety on the busy Amravati–Warud stretch.
As the village mourns, the tragedy stands as a grim reminder of how life can change in a single, devastating moment.
