Nagpur: In a quick turn of events, the In-Charge of Ambazhari Police Station Senior Police Inspector Shankhe has been transferred to Special Branch on June 24, 2016 pending investigations into alleged bribe accepted by one of his juniors in Ambazhari Police Station on June 21, 2016.
The Anti Corruption Bureau had arrested Woman PSI Archana Waghmare who demanded around Rs 5 lakh from dowry harassment accused Hardeep Singh Arora on June 21, 2016. The accused Woman PSI Archana Waghmare had allegedly claimed that she has to give the money to the In-Charge Police Inspector.
While speaking to Nagpur Today, Commissioner of Police S P Yadav said that till such time as the Anti Corruption Bureau’s investigations are going on Police Inspector Shankhe is being transferred to Special Branch.
