Nagpur: The Mayor Nanda Jichkar on Monday directed the NMC authorities to remove shortcomings in procedures and allot stalls to Gathai workers within eight days. A number of proposals for allotment of stalls provided by Nagpur Municipal Corporation to Gathai workers are pending due to shortcomings.
Taking note of a memorandum submitted by Charmakar Seva Sangh during review of distribution of lease rights of shops under Sant Ravidas Ashray Yojana, the Mayor had convened a meeting in her chamber. The meeting was attended by senior Corporator Narendra Borkar, Varsha Thakre, Divya Dhurde, Sunil Agrawal, Additional Commissioner Aziz Sheikh, Ram Joshi, NMC Secretary Harish Dubey and other officials.
The President of Charmakar Seva Sangh Bhaiyyasaheb Bighane drew attention of the Mayor towards stalling of distribution of lease rights of stalls of Gathai workers. He had requested the Mayor to remove administrative shortcomings and speed up allotment of stalls to Gathai workers. The Mayor sought zone-wise pending proposals in this regard.
