All Govt Presses to be under one roof and modernized: Gadkari

“All the three Government Presses located at different places in Nagpur would be brought under one roof and modernized with state-of-the-art technology. A committee headed by Divisional Commissioner will be set for the purpose and after it submits report the next steps will be initiated. The measures will be taken in accordance with the report,” declared Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari here on Monday. He was speaking after inspecting the Government Press and holding a review meeting.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion include State Finance and Planning Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, MLCs Prof Anil Sole, Nago Ganar, MLA Mallikarjun Reddy, Mayor Pravin Datke, Divisional Commissioner Anup Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar, Ruling Party Leader in NMC Dayashankar Tiwari, Standing Committee Chairman Ramesh Singare, Government Press Manager A Y Dudhgaonkar and others.

“An all facility commercial complex will be constructed at the lands of Government Press, Forest Department and NMC. The commercial complex will house all the three Government Presses, office of Forest Department along with all Government offices at present functioning in rented places under one roof,” asserted Gadkari adding the Divisional Commissioner-headed committee will be set up and it will submit its report within three months. The next measures will be initiated in accordance with the report, stated Gadkari. “The Government Press will be modernized by installing state-of-the-art technology and the employees will be imparted training,” announced the Union Minister.

Nitin gadkari and Sudhir Mungantiwar in Program (1)“A Metro Rail Station will be based near Zero Mile and along with the commercial complex the beautification the historic monument (Zero Mile) will be done on par with international standards. The commercial complex will have underground parking arrangements,” said Gadkari. He appreciated MLCs Anil Sole and Nago Ganar for pursuing the matter during the Winter Session and also patted Mungantiwar for pushing the construction of commercial complex.
