Alert in Bhandara as Wainganga nears danger mark

BHANDARA: Due to continuous rainfall since Friday, the water level in Wainganga river has touched the danger mark in Bhandara district. The villages on the banks of the river have been kept on alert for precautionary measures.

The Wainganga river’s water level in Kardha is considered at danger level at 245 meters. The last recorded level was 242.11 meters. Since the water level was approaching the danger mark, Kardha, Khamari, Surewada, Karachkheda and other villages on the banks of the river were kept on alert.
