Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari visits HQ of Maintenance Command in Nagpur

Nagpur: Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), embarked on a two-day visit to the Headquarters of Maintenance Command (HQ MC) in Nagpur. The visit, which took place on Thursday and Friday, saw the CAS addressing field commanders at the Commanders’ Conference held at Vayusena Nagar.

Air Marshal Vibhas Pande, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Maintenance Command, extended a warm welcome to Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari upon his arrival.

During his address at the Commanders’ Conference, CAS Chaudhari commended the important role played by HQ MC and its Units in ensuring the sustenance of various fleets and systems critical to the Indian Air Force (IAF). He expressed appreciation for the concerted efforts undertaken towards achieving self-reliance in assigned tasks, thereby diminishing dependence on foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Moreover, CAS Chaudhari was briefed on ongoing endeavours aimed at addressing issues concerning obsolescence, life enhancements, and reliability of equipment. Notably, CAS Chaudhari lauded the contributions of Maintenance Command to the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign) and stressed the significance of active participation by all personnel in the transformative changes geared towards national development.

The Commanders’ Conference was attended by all field commanders of maintenance command units which are spread all across the country, serving as a platform to discuss strategic objectives and operational efficiencies. The CAS also awarded trophies to Units which were adjudged best in their respective fields of activities.
