After 5 months of Human skeleton recovery at Sonegaon, Cops finally register case of murder

Nagpur: With Forensic Laboratory confirming the skeleton to be that of a human, the police have now registered a case under section 302, 101 of IPC of murder and attempt to destroy evidence against unknown offenders.

It could be recalled that a human skeleton and blood stained clothes were recovered in a gutter located in a residential premise in Manish Nagar and the cops had to rely on the forensic report of the bones and clothes. The people in the area are abuzz with the talks of this incident which unleashed a wave of fright among them. The curious lot wanted to know how the cops decode the mystery of this human skeleton. It may be mentioned that along with the human skeleton, a soiled jeans, red underwear and red cloth was also recovered from the wide drainage. The jaws, thigh bone and other bones were sent for forensic investigation along with the clothes.

However, the then In-charge Police Inspector of Sonegaon Police Station PI Prakash Shah got the skeleton buried, saying that it was not of human but a carcass of animal near the railway line. However, when the news was flashed and became hot news, the skeleton was again dug-out and sent to Forensic Lab for investigations. This had only complicated the case and PI Prakash Shah’s role is under probe by ACP Manohare.

kankal (1)Now that the report from Forensic Lab confirmed that the skeleton is human and not that of any animal, senior police officials has taken the matter seriously and has ordered a thorough probe into the botched up investigation by the cops. The In-charge Police Inspector of Sonegaon Police Station PI P R Shah had not registered any case then. However, with the cops now registering a case of murder and an attempt to conceal the murder, now talks are abuzz as to who’s skeleton is that? Now the Sonegaon police have registered a case against unknown person and are investigating.
