Meeting with Mohan Bhagwat very positive for BJP: LK Advani

“Today’s free and frank discussions with both Mohan Bhagwat and Bhayyaji Joshi in Nagpur were mainly focused on upcoming Assembly elections 4-5 states, and the Lok Sabha elections and other issues of political importance. My discussions with both the RSS leaders would prove very helpful for the party. The BJP will not leave a stone unturned for “Satta Parivartan” (Change of power) in order to provide a new direction to the nation in all important fronts,” Advani asserted.

Nagpur News: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s senior-most leader and patriarch after Atal Behari Vajpayee,  Lal Krishna Advani today arrived in Nagpur and went to Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Headquarters in Mahal for a meeting with RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhayyaji Joshi.

Advani, after emerging out of the RSS HQ for leaving for Delhi by evening flight briefly talked to media present the RSS HQ. Advani said, “Since 14 years my age I have been greatly inspired by the RSS ideologies, and from thereafter was associated with the RSS. The then Bharatiya Jan Sangh would not have been today’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had there not been the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh. The important discussions between the RSS and BJP have been a continuous process. When the RSS Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat had come to Delhi, I had a detailed discussion with him on various crucial issues.

“Today’s free and frank discussions with both Mohan Bhagwat and Bhayyaji Joshi were mainly focused on upcoming Assembly elections 4-5 states, and the Lok Sabha elections and other issues of political importance. However, Advani refused to take any questions from media saying,  “I will only briefly talk with you over my meeting with the RSS Chief and Bhayyaji Joshi. No questions.”

Advani, who had triggered tremors across the country, and had rattled his party to the core by quitting all the three key posts Including Parliamentary Board, National Executive, and Election Committee in protest against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s elevation as Chairman of BJP’s Campaign Committee, had arrived in Nagpur specifically to meet Bhagwat to discuss some important issues..

However, Advani took a U-Turn, and withdrew his resignation after RSS Chief played a crucial role and delivered a message through Nitin Gadkari. The Maharashtra unit President of BJP Devendra Fadnavis who was present at the RSS HQ said, Adavani’s meeting with the RSS chief was previously planned and Advani will stay in RSS Headquarters till the evening and proceed for Delhi by evening flight. However, Fadnavis said he is not aware of the agenda of the meeting but some crucial issues would be discussed by Adwani with Mohan Bhagwat.

Advani was received at the airport by Devendra Fadnavis, Banwarilal Purohit, Mayor Anil Sole, NMC Standing Committee Chairman Avinash Thakre, MLA Krishna Khopde, MP Ajay Sancheti, Corporatotrs Sandeep Joshi, Pravin Datke, Ramen Mankar, former ZP President Ramen Mankar, Ghanshyam  Kukreja, Pramod Pendke and others.
