Nagpur News : Pachpaoli police has seized 826 adulterated tobacco packets from Lashkaribagh area on Thursday afternoon. Acting on a tip-off, a police team headed by senior police inspector Prakash Bele, raided a godown where adulterated tobacco was prepared and packed.
Police has arrested the mastermind Sadanand Patil, 60, who runs the illegal business. Cops informed that Patil had taken the godown on rent from the owner. He would packed the adulterated tobacco in packets of different companies and would sell to city pan kiosk owners and others.
Police has sent some seized packets to Food and Drug Department to confirm what has been mixed for adulteration. Cops are still interrogating Patil.
