The controversial Additional Municipal Commissioner Hemant Pawar has reportedly been transferred to the office of Divisional Commissioner in Nagpur, said reliable sources and added that the transfer was long overdue as he was not in good terms with top NMC boss. Sources further said that the tenure of Pawar was marred by one or the controversy. In fact, the Municipal Commissioner never gave Pawar the free hand or impeccable authority to run the affairs of the civic body, said sources.
According to insiders, Pawar has expressed his displeasure over his transfer to Divisional Commissioner’s office. Pawar reportedly wanted transfer to office of District Collector and for this shifting he even tried his reach to a bigwig in official and political circle but to no avail, claimed the sources.
Interestingly, Hemant Pawar has still not been relieved of his post even though he has been transferred long back. A reversal of the transfer decision could be in the offing considering the “powers” Pawar wields in many influential circles, stated the sources.
