ACB’s Anti-Corruption Vigilance Awareness Campaign Week from October 27 to Nov 1

Nagpur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Nagpur Range, is organizing an Anti-Corruption Vigilance Awareness Campaign Week from October 27 to November 1 to mark birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The ACB organizes Vigilance Awareness Campaign Week every year in its efforts to curb corruption with heavy hand.

During the Vigilance Awareness Campaign Week, various programmes will be organized. On October 27, all officials and personnel of ACB, Nagpur Range offices in Nagpur, Wardha, Gondia, Bhandara, and Gadchiroli will be administered Anti-Corruption Oath aimed at eliminating corruption at all levels. The ACB, as part of Vigilance Awareness Campaign, has put up banners on auto-rickshaws appealing people to lodge complaints against corruption without any fear. The banners mention Toll Free Phone No. 1064 of ACB Office to facilitate lodging of complaints. The banners have been distributed to all offices of ACB, Nagpur Range.  The ACB is also giving a wide publicity to Anti-Corruption Campaign through Telecommunication Department, local Cable TV channels, newspapers, cinema theaters etc. Several awareness hoardings have also been put up at vantage points across the city.

A lecture series will also be organized during the Anti-Corruption Vigilance Awareness Campaign Week to throw light on ill-effects of corruption. Interaction sessions of prominent personalities from NGOs and industry will be held and guidance will be provided to common people. The ACB will felicitate those people who helped in trapping the bribe seekers in the year 2013-14 by offering them Scroll of Honour.

Prakash Jadhav, Superintendent of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, has appealed people to contact ACB offices on Toll Free No. 1064 for lodging complaints against corruption. The Toll Free Number has specifically been launched by the ACB to facilitate people in lodging of corruption complaints, said a press release issued by Anti-Corruption Bureau, Nagpur Range.
