ACB traps Personal Assistant of Additional Commissioner taking bribe of Rs 25,000

pic(1)Nagpur News: In a surprising turn of events, the conduit and Personal Assistant of Additional Commissioner Nagpur Division Sanjay Singh Gautam, named Tina Thakur was arrested red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 25,000/- from a farmer from Ramtek on July 23, 2014  .

The complainant identified as Waman Jhingar Sahare aged 55 years and a resident of Kachurwahi, Tehsil Ramtek, District Nagpur. This farmer had a possession of 2.25 acres land in Ramtek. A few months ago, he sold one acre land.

Somewhere in the year 2009, the farmer Waman Sahare fell ill and was bed ridden for a long time. Taking advantage of his sickness, the elder brother of Waman Sahare, identified as Chiwram Jhingar Sahare bribed the Patwari and got the land admeasuring 1.25 acres land to his name.

When Waman Sahare came to know about this land being in his elder brother’s name fraudulently, he lodged a complaint with the Sub-Divisional Officer of Ramtek. He put this case before the SDO in the year 2009. However, Chiwram Sahare (elder brother) had allegedly bribed some officials there and got a favourable verdict.

Waman Sahare then lodged a complaint with the Nagpur Collector’s office on December 26, 2010. The Additional Collector Asha Pathan gave a favourable result for Waman Sahare.

However, Chiwram Sahare again lodge a complaint before the Commissioner’s office.  This case has been going on for the past 11 months. However, the case got closed for the final order.

On Saturday July 19, 2014, Personal Assistant of Additional Commissioner Nagpur Division Sanjay Singh Gautam, named Tina Thakur approached Waman Sahare and demanded Rs 40,000 (Rupees forty thousand) for getting a favourable order. However, Waman Sahare lodged a complaint with the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). They laid a trap on July 23, 2014 and arrested Tina Thakur who was allegedly the conduit of Personal Assistant of Additional Commissioner Sanjay Singh Gautam red handed while accepting Rs 25,000 (part payment).

unnamed2The entire ACB raid and arrest was made under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Lokhande. Nilesh Sahare the nephew of Waman Sahare co-ordinated the ACB trap. Nilesh Sahare said that they received a favourable order as soon as they gave the bribe.
