Absconding goon nabbed, 8 crimes solved by Tehsil cops

Nagpur: Tehsil police nabbed an absconding goon and solved a total of eight crimes including house-breaking, vehicle lifting, a burglary and assault. Cops have seized four stolen two-wheelers and other valuables worth Rs 1.62 lakh from the possession of the arrested accused.

On the late night of October 22, a patrolling team of Tehsil police, led by ASI Rajeshsingh Thakur, had received information that a gang of armed goons was hiding at a vacant place near Pahalwan Shah Baba Dargah in Guard Line. The armed gang of five members was planning a robbery. Acting on the tip-off, cops detained four goons but a member of the gang managed to escape. Since then the cops were on his trail. Following grilling of the four goons, police discovered that the escaped criminal was Sanjog Liladhar Hole (21), resident of Timki, near Kolbaswami Library. Armed with the information, a team of cops succeed in nabbing the absconding goon. He was booked under Sections 399, 402 of the IPC read with Section 4/25 of Arms Act and Section 135 of Maharashtra Police Act.

During the probe, cops solved eight crimes including house-breaking, vehicle lifting, burglary and assault. After the confession of the arrested goon, police seized four stolen two-wheelers and other valuables worth Rs 1.62 lakh from his possession.

The arrest was made by Senior PI Jayesh Bhandarkar, PI (Crime) Baban Yedge, API Sandip Bagul, PSIs Swapnil Wagh, Sachin Savarkar, constable Laxman Shende, NPCs Kishore Garware, Nazir Sheikh, Atul Thakre, Sepoys Pankaj Dabre, Iqbal Sheikh under the guidance of DCP Zone 3 Gajanan Rajmane and ACP Sanjay Surve.
