AAP Win: Mixed reaction from people of Nagpur

 

Nagpur: With both, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress leading in polls in Delhi, it became a historic event causing a surprise and shock to many. The Aam Admi Party is headed for a thumping victory, leading on about 67 seats, the Congress Party, which has been ruling over the National Capital for the last 15 years is witnessing an unprecedented rout by not securing even a single seat. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which was probably banking on Modi wave added with Kiran Bedi’s record as a tough police officer and anti-corruption activist, however had to concede defeat with a lead on only 3 seats. The citizens of Nagpur had mixed reactions to the poll results of Delhi.

Trader in Dharampeth area Dr Ramesh Kumar Lalwani said that this is a good news. While speaking of Arvind Kejriwal, he said that people must have assumed that Kejriwal is the same person whom they elected one year ago. It is not that Modi did not do anything at National Level. This takes time. AAP winning could also be sending a message to Modi Government that they want the policies propogated by Arving Kejriwal’s Aam Admi Party.

According to her, Arvind Kejriwal is not a politician, he is a bureaucrat (public servant) and he should remain that and not become a politician. She claimed that she does not see him as a leader. She added that a Chief Minister should not sit on Dharna, rather be efficient to hold talks and get other leaders to acquiesce to his demands. She claimed that running Delhi will be a problem for BJP. There will be a discord in the state and the centre. Swati claimed that Kejriwal thrives on projecting a negative image or picture.
