AAP game plan for Lok Sabha polls : Oust targeted candidate from the ring at any cost

Nagpur News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), fighting the Lok Sabha battle of ballots for the first time after resounding victory in Delhi Assembly polls and subsequently capturing power, albeit, strategically for short period, has its own game plan. According to experts and sources, AAP design is to oust only the targeted candidate from the Lok Sabha poll ring, and if possibly, win the seat. The local AAP think tank is hell bent on bringing the shooting target on their radar down i.e. defeat the present or past MP or new candidate of other parties. If AAP candidate wins, it is as far as good to raise local voice in Lok Sabha. The opinion polls have predicted 4-5 seats for AAP in Delhi itself.

However, AAP says the party is fighting in Nagpur or across the country for a win for itself. The party is certainly not fighting the polls for defeat or win of a specific candidate of other parties. “Our victory is must for cleaning the rusted system and snatch powers from a few hands ruling the roost since ages. Otherwise, the well declared policies of AAP for benefit of common people go standstill. According to the Constitution of India, the elected members select the Prime Minister. But some parties have declared their prime ministerial candidates even before the Lok Sabha elections. Is it not illegal? It is clear violation of Constitution spirit. AAP is not doing any wrong in opposing such parties and, at the same time, making people aware about Constitution.”

According to AAP sources, “Even though Congress supported the party in forming Government in Delhi after Assembly elections, but still AAP sees both Congress and BJP as sides of a same coin.”

With AAP candidate in Nagpur, the Lok Sabha polls have become triangular. The fate of the party is in the hands of “aam aadmi” and not in the hands of any other party.
