Nagpur:
“Swimming against the tide” is not just a cliché at Department of Management Sciences & Research (DMSR). DMSR doesn’t do different things; they simply do things differently. Be it inside the classroom, conducting co-curricular academic sessions or outside the four walls of classroom, having fun through various management programs, which carry with them deeply ingrained management lessons.

The students of fourth semester while bidding adieu to the institution after reaching fag end of their final semester displayed this unique DMSR tradition. And they chose to do it in style, with panache. Doing away with the traditional customs of DJ and frills associated with the run-of-the-mill farewell programs, the fourth semester students held a get together program along with the entire team of DMSR. The icing on the cake was that, this program was all for the students, by the students and of the students.

The event began with some exclusive Almond and Gulmohar tree plantation program. This ceremony was at the hands of the Director of Department of Management Sciences & Research, Dr Devender Kawday. All the students took upon themselves, the responsibility of sharing their experiences and thought processes on their journey at DMSR, thus making the session an overwhelming one. The faculty also made the event nostalgic by taking a stroll down the memory lane while sharing their individual experiences of two years with all the students.

DMSR Farewell
The event was followed by a uniquely themed dinner that the students carefully chose, keeping in mind, budget, popular tastes and the seasonal temperature variations, thus displaying reverberant management skills.

This event really stood out exclusive as compared to all other farewell programs since it reflected the gratitude the students felt for the institution and the faculty. And they chose an innovative way to express the same.

The flavour at Department of Management Sciences & Research is do what you love and love what you do!
