Nagpur: Academy of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (A.M.S.) celebrated its “GOLDEN JUBILEE ANNUAL DAY AND FOUNDATION DAY” by organising a cultural evening recently on 15th of April, 2017 at Hotel Centre Point Ramdaspeth, Nagpur. It gave chance to its members to showcase their singing talent backed by instrumental support by professional artists.
At the outset Dr. Chanrashekharan Cham made welcome opening speech and Dr. Uday Gupte, Past President AMS recited Raga Yaman on “Sitar” and created the environment of celebration. Dr. Anuradha Ridhorkar and Dr. Meghana Agrawal was the Master of Ceremony who artistically conducted the programme taking members down the lane of Bollywood with studied historical inputs. Dr. Vinod Khandait hummed “Bhaware ki Gunjan” while Dr. Prashant Nimbalkar presented “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” “Ashwini Ye Na …”Marathi duet song was presented by Dr. Vaishali Khandait and Dr. Sameer Jahagirdar. Dr. B.K.Sharma presented “Chaap tilak sab chini” while “Tumane Muze dekha” was presented by Dr. Pradeep Rajderkar. Dr. Rajesh Ballal presented “Tumne Muze Dekha Nahi, “Ranjhan de yaar Buleya” duet was sung by Dr. Sameer Jahagirdar and Dr. Gauri Arora. “Wada Karo Nahi Chodege Mera Saath” was presented by Dr. Ravi Mundhada and Dr. Rashmi Shingade. President Dr. C. S, Cham presented “Samunder me nahake…” Dr. S.J.Acharya presented “Asama pe hai khuda” Dr. Vaishali Khandait sang “Raat Baaki… Baat Baki..” Dr. Prakash Khetan presented “ Tumse Accha Kaun hai” Dr. Rashmi Shingade presented “Saara Zamana” Dr.Prashant Nimbalkar presented “ Hamma Hammma”. Dr. Mukund Ganeriwal presented “Tum agar Muzko.Na chaho to.” Dr. Gauri Arora presented “Zoom Zoom Zoom Baba” Dr. Ravi Mundhada presented “ Khaike Paan Banaras wala” Dr. Sachin Makde presented Bhojpuri Lipistik song “Saawan mein lag gayi aag”
Dr. Vaishali Khandait and Dr. Gauri Arora acted as the Coordinators. Dr. Ravindra Sarnaik, Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.
Members with their family enjoyed the evening with fun and frolic by dancing to the hit bollywood numbers of yester years and distressed themselves.
