A 24-year-old girl rescued from prostitution racket in Pratap Nagar

Nagpur: In a swift action undertaken by cops of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station, a 24-year-old girl who was pushed into prostitution was rescued. One man and two women accused were arrested for exploiting the 24-year-old girl by pushing her into prostitution on the raid conducted on September 22, 2016.

According to police sources, the accused identified as1) Akash Ashok Jagne aged 25 years and a resident of Kumbhar Layout, Kamptee, 2) Rajani Vishnu Nehare aged 48 years and a resident of Flat No 203 of Sarang Apartments, Cosmos Town, Jaitala Road and 3) Ranjana Bhimrao Lanjewar aged 50 years and a resident of Kanhan Slums were caught exploiting the 24-year-old girl by pushing her into prostitution and flesh trade in the flat of accused Rajani Vishnu Nehare.

On the basis of complaint lodged by Police Sub Inspector S S Munde of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station, Woman Police Sub Inspector S G Bansod of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station has registered a case Under Sections 3, 4 of Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
