Nagpur News: The age-old electric wiring of Nagpur Railway Station seems to have deteriorated and posing serious problems. Only ten days back (May 31, 2014), the current ticket counters of the station (Main) were reduced to ashes in a major fire caused by short circuit.
On June 10, 2014, a fire broke out in the warehouse of Itwari Railway Station at around 4 pm. However, the authorities refused to give details on the cause of the fire or the estimated loss of goods kept in the warehouse.
As soon as the people spotted smoke billowing from the warehouse, they called the fire department who reached the spot immediately. Around 8 fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the fire.
