Nagpur: A team of Unit IV of Crime Branch raided House No 1239/A, Tandapeth Nai Basti near Radheshyam School and seized 10 swords worth Rs 10,000, besides arresting the house owner, Rahul alias Rohit Shankar Thosar in this connection.
Thosar(22)had illegally stored the weapons on the first floor of his house. Acting on a tip off, a team of Unit IV of crime Branch comprising API PM Atulkar,API Kiran Chougule, PSI Manish Wakode, ASI Ramesh Umathe and constabulary staff raided Thosar’s house and seized the swords.
An offence under Section 4+25 of the Arms Act and Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act against Thosar. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Dr Bhushankumar Upadhyay,Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kadam, Addl CP (Crime) BGGaikar, DCP (Detection) Sambhaji Kadam, and ACP(Crime) Sanjeev Kamble.
