So it is necessary to understand your patient, as it will fill the breach amid doctors and patients,” said Dr Sharad C Jaitly, renowned health educator, chief medical officer and chief digital lecturer of MuniMeterHealth (MMH), New York (USA).
Dr Jaitly was delivering a lecture on ‘Patients education combined to medical education enhances clinical outcomes’ during the inauguration of JN Berry Medicine Lecture Hall, Department of Medicines, at Government Medical College (GMC) Nagpur on Friday. Dr Yogendra Bansod, Dr P Bhatkule, Dr A K Niswade, dean of GMC, and Dr Kumbhalkar were present on the dais on the occasion.

While discussing the factors which are causing breach among doctor and patients, Jaitly added, “Being a doctor, it is really easy to order any tests, however the interpretation subsequent to that test should be there as no one wants unnecessary tests.
