Nagpur: A job seeking woman was exploited sexually by a man acquainted with her. The accused lured the woman with a job, spiked her food with sedatives and raped her at a hotel and different places several times. The accused rapist has been booked.
The victimised woman in her complaint to police said that the accused Amit Kumar Sharma (36), native of Dhanbagh, Jharkhand, got acquainted with her. As she was searching for a job, the accused ‘promised’ to provide her a suitable job. Between April 2016 and May 2018, the accused Amit Kumar called the woman to Room No. 202 of Hotel Rajhans situated on CA Road under Ganeshpeth Police jurisdiction.
Amit spiked her food with sedatives and raped her in the hotel room. Thereafter, the accused took her to different places and raped her by spiking her food. When the woman protested, the accused threatened to defame her and also warned her not to open her mouth.
