A training aircraft with the Bombay Flying Club crash landed in a farm in Datarshi village of Sakri Taluk in Dhule district, Maharashtra.
According to police, the pilot and a co passenger suffered minor injuries. The spot where the aircraft crash landed is 15 kilometres from Sakri Taluka.
According to Bombay Flying Club, the trainer aircraft was commanded by Captain J P Sharma who was the instructor and a trainee named Pritam was onboard. It was on its way back to Dhule when the plane was forced to land fifty kilometres short of its destination.

The plane had left Dhule for Surat in the afternoon. The forced landing was conducted according to proper procedure and the pilot was constantly in touch with the air traffic controller.
According to Captain Mihir Bhagwati from Bombay Flying Club, both Captain Sharma and Pritam were safe and were rushed to Sakri Taluka for treatment. The reason why the plane was made to land forcibly is yet to be ascertained.
