The rains that started in Mumbai last week have not ended. The city has been witnessing heavy downpour even today. Rains also lashed several parts in Thane. There will be a high tide in Mumbai today at 4:35 pm which is expected to be 3.32 meters in height, reported news agency ANI. Mumbaikars are requested to maintain a safe distance from beaches in the city.
The weather forecast predicts more heavy rainfall in the city for next 24 to 48 hours. The heavy rains that lashed the city led to waterlogging at many places such as Sion, Bandra, Matunga, Kurla, Andheri, Dadar, Kings Circle, Hindmata and many others. Due to this, traffic is moving slowly in several parts of the city.
In Ghatkopar’s Ramnarayan Narkar road, a tree fell on a Wagon R car at midnight due to heavy rainfall. No casualties are reported. Due to waterlogging at Santacruz-Chembur Link Road, Worli, Lalbaugh, LBS Road, and Lower Parel, the traffic is badly disrupted.
