Lucknow: New Delhi’s political circles are agog with speculation that the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, havs impressed upon Samajwadi Party strongman Mulayam Singh Yadav to reach a settlement with his son Akhilesh Yadav and not to precipitate the crisis within the party, as he feels that a split in the SP will ultimately benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party by weakening the secular forces.
