Nagpur: Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party launched a sharp attack on the Opposition over the issue of women’s rights during a press conference held in Nagpur on Thursday.
Addressing the media, Union Minister C. R. Patil said the Central Government has been consistently taking concrete steps toward women’s empowerment. He accused Opposition parties of indulging in politics over crucial issues such as women’s reservation and attempting to mislead the public.
Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh echoed similar sentiments, alleging that Opposition policies have historically hindered women from accessing their rightful opportunities. She claimed that while the Opposition “deprived women of their rights,” the BJP remains committed to making women empowered and self-reliant.
The BJP leaders used the platform to strongly assert the party’s stance on women’s empowerment, turning the spotlight on what they described as the Opposition’s contradictory approach on the issue.
