“Use Your Brain First, Then Use AI Smartly” – Kaushal Mohta at UNNATI 2026

Nagpur: The concluding and award distribution ceremony of UNNATI – A Personal Growth and Skill Development Program 2026, jointly organized by Dr. Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur and the Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA), was held on April 21.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Kaushal Mohta, noted industrialist and Honorary Secretary of VIA, highlighted the growing dependence of students on digital gadgets. He cautioned that excessive reliance on technology can limit creativity, as students often depend on devices instead of thinking independently.

Delivering a clear message, he said,
“Use your brain first, then use AI smartly.”

He further encouraged students to identify their weaknesses, adopt structured thinking, and solve problems step by step. He also stressed the importance of internships in industries to gain practical exposure and real-world experience.

Guest of Honor Jitendra Wasnik, businessman and Founder Chairman of Nagpur City Multistate Cooperative Society, spoke about the role of struggle in achieving success. He emphasized that confidence and effective presentation skills are essential, and that challenges help shape a stronger and more resilient future.

Earlier, Dr. Deepa Panhekar, Principal of Dr. Ambedkar College, welcomed the guests and highlighted the institution’s recent achievements along with the vision and success of the UNNATI program.

Dr. Akhil Ramteke, Coordinator of UNNATI CS, presented the annual report for 2025–26, noting the successful conduct of 30 sessions focused on personal growth, communication, and leadership. Activities such as “Orator of the Year” and personality contests significantly boosted students’ confidence and overall development, especially among shy and reserved participants.

Neelam Bowade, Convener of VIA HRD Forum and Director of Dharampeth Mahila Multistate Cooperative Society, encouraged students to continuously upgrade their knowledge, enhance their skills, and step out of their comfort zones. She emphasized that the right skills combined with a positive attitude are key to career success.

Kumar Zilpelwar, Pilot Faculty, Performance Coach, and Trainer, spoke on character building through the UNNATI sessions. He underlined the importance of consistency, stating that sustained effort leads to greater success. He also highlighted the value of building strong professional relationships.

During the program, awards for “Orator of the Year” and Personality Contests were presented. Kimberly Lawrence (B.Sc. Biochemistry) was named “Orator of the Year,” followed by Minal Nigam as 1st Runner-up and Atul Choudhary as 2nd Runner-up.

In the personality awards, Kshitij Gate (B.Com 1st Year) was recognized as Best Male Student, while Anjali Moudekar (B.Com 1st Year) received the Best Female Student award.

Faculty members who conducted sessions throughout the program were also felicitated. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dilip Rathod. Members of the UNNATI Cell – Sham Khan, Rita Lakkakul, and Purvesh Fating-played a key role in successfully organizing the year-long program and its concluding function.
